The Pilot Proficiency Program

A Pilot Proficiency Program is a weekend. Ground school runs on the Friday. Saturday and Sunday are flying - in your own aircraft, with an instructor matched to you on Mooney model experience.

Most pilots come to a PPP for Mooney-specific flight instruction, and having a high-quality instructor who focuses on Mooneys makes all the difference. Ground instruction is an essential component of safe operation, and the emphasis throughout is on enhanced safety and on the responsibilities that come with being a Mooney pilot. Participants get ample opportunity to share experience with fellow Mooney pilots and with the instructors. The ground instruction qualifies for credit in the FAA WINGS Program.

What you come away with

Pilots who meet the requirements complete an FAA-approved flight review. Instrument-rated pilots who meet the requirements also complete an instrument proficiency check. Both are flown in your own aircraft, in the conditions and the avionics you actually operate.
